PORTLAND, Ore.—December 15 marked the grand opening of the brand new Aveda Institute located in Portland’s trendy Pearl District. Yazi Ginger Vodka was there as the exclusive spirits sponsor to help kick off the celebration.
Guests at the highly festive event sipped on Yazi Gingertinis as they checked out the Aveda Institute’s new digs. A smashing success, the party boasted more than 700 guests during the evening.
Described by some party attendees as “dangerously delicious,” Yazi, a super premium product created and distributed by Hood River Distillers, gets its sensual and slightly spicy taste from natural ginger flavoring, along with orange, lemon, cayenne, red pepper extracts and glacier-fed Mt. To make the Yazi Gingertini pour 2 parts Yazi Ginger Vodka, 1 part triple sec, 1 part cranberry juice and 1 part lime juice into a chilled cocktail shaker half full of ice. Shake until well chilled and serve up in a martini glass garnished with a lime wheel.

Yazi Ginger Flavored Vodka Created for Women
Spicy vodka packaged in elegant French glass bottle
HOOD RIVER, Ore.—Yazi Ginger Flavored Vodka, a super premium product created and distributed by Hood River Distillers, is arriving in select bars and liquor stores across the nation with the women's market in mind.
Natural ginger flavoring gives Yazi its sensual and slightly spicy taste, along with orange, lemon, cayenne, red pepper extracts and glacier-fed Mt. Hood spring water. Long the subject of folklore, ginger is said to have mystical powers that bring harmony to life and love. In many parts of the world, ginger is known to be an ingredient in love potions.
The new packaging captures the essence of romance with a perfume bottle shape. Rich red side accents and a shiny red neck wrap add an exotic touch, while a spiraling dragon etched on the imported French glass adds an intriguing element to the overall design.
"Back-lit on a bar shelf, Yazi is sure to stand out among the usual tall thin bottles favored for many other vodkas," said designer Andrew Reed of Leopold Ketel & Partners, Hood River Distillers' marketing firm.
A 750ml bottle will retail for about $30.
In addition to the glamour of the creative packaging, professional and amateur bartenders will want to try three recipes (included with this news release) that call for the gingery snap of Yazi.
