Lucid® Absinthe
Lucid Absinthe Supérieure is the first genuine absinthe distilled with real grande wormwood to be legally available in the United States after a 95-year ban.
Lucid Absinthe is hand-crafted in strict accordance with traditional European methods in the historic Combier Distillery of the Loire Valley of France. Designed by Gustave Eiffel in the 1880’s, the distillery’s copper alembic pot stills first began producing absinthe almost 150 years ago.
Distilled exclusively from whole European herbs, Lucid does not contain any added flavors or dyes. Absinthe is a versatile spirit. The most traditional consumption method is “louching,” in which cold water and a sugar cube are dissolved into the absinthe, turning it a cloudy opalescent color. Absinthe can also be consumed in a variety of classic and modern cocktails.
Lucid was created by world-renowned research scientist and absinthe distiller T.A. Breaux of Jade Liqueurs.
Lucid absinthe
Lucid is characterized by upfront flavors of anise and fennel, followed by mild mid-palate earthy textures attributable to grand wormwood (Artemisia absinthium) and coloring botanicals. The herbs round out the flavor with additional spice and grassy notes, which linger in a moderately long finish.
